Domino’s is one of the most famous takeaways but got in to a little bit of bother this week after a picture was uploaded to Twitter going viral.
Customers were outraged when a picture uploaded to Twitter on February 5th 2017 shows a Domino’s employee dressed in full Domino’s attire standing at an ASDA till buying with a bulk load of Wedges which cost £1 in ASDA compared to the £3.49 Domino’s charge for a portion of wedges. That is a 250 per cent markup for this particular Domino’s Branch based in London.
Sarah shared the image with the caption: “Thank you @dominos – next time I spend £3.49 on [a] tiny portion of potato wedges I’ll remember they’re from ASDA!!!”

Domino’s were quick to respond with a spokeswoman for Domino’s Pizza telling Mirror Online: “With a big sporting weekend, very occasionally our stores are in an unfortunate position where some food items may run out.
“We do not advocate this as a solution and are investigating. We have rigorous standards where our franchisees buy all food from our approved suppliers to help maintain the high standards customers rightly expect.”
Tell us.. Has this put you of going to the pizza franchise?
